If you are running late, firstly check your reminder text to see if there is an on-site contact you can make aware.
If there is not an on-site contact, please do your best to get there as quickly as possible.
However, please note that in all cases of lateness, the client has the right to send you home. In this event, you will not be paid any monies for the shift, and hap will not be responsible for any monies or time lost.
Lateness resulting in being turned away from the venue may result in your account being disabled and further work not being offered.
You should aim to arrive in plenty of time before the start of your shift. We understand that last minute circumstances can affect your ability to attend your shift, but you need to make sure you make travel plans in advance.
This includes:
- Thoroughly checking train or bus timetables.
- Checking for train or bus strikes (this can be done online). Strikes are generally announced a few days in advance, so please keep an eye out.
- Checking traffic predictions (you can do this on google maps)
- Festival diversions - there may be road closures and changes when a festival's on, this could lengthen your journey. Please check the event's website as they might have specific instructions on how to get there.
- Checking for road works or any other disruptions you may come across en route to your shift (this can be done online or on google maps).
