When attending a shift with hap Solutions, we have a few expectations of you.
Arrival
Meeting point and time
➡ Click here for a detailed breakdown of your meeting point.
You need to adhere to your meeting time. Your shift time is when you are expected to be on your workstation, therefore you must arrive with plenty of time before your shift - this is of vital importance so you do not miss accreditation. Our operations staff cannot wait back for latecomers, so please allow plenty of time for arrival. If you do not arrive within plenty of time for your shift, you risk being late and may be turned away.
Working hours
We also expect that you work the entirety of the shift you have been booked for. Please note that shift times are approximations given by our client, so may change somewhat dependant on the demand of the event.
Signing in and out
You must sign in and out. This is of the utmost importance to ensure that you are paid correctly.
Cash declaration
You must also declare how much cash you have on your person.
Identification
Remember you will always need ID to sign in at an event to confirm your identity.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure the identification you uploaded in your application is brought with you for ID verification on your first assignment.
Personal Belongings
Please read this article to familiarise yourself with our policy on what belongings to bring to what shifts.
During
Breaks
You are required by law to take a break.
You have the right to one uninterrupted 20 minute rest break during their working day, if you work more than 6 hours a day.
Whilst on shift, please know that you can remind your manager/supervisor if you have not had a break yet.
If you are working a fixed venue shift that is scheduled on PARiM it will state that your shift includes a 30 minute break (if you are working over 6 hours) - you are legally entitled to 20 minutes, any additional time is dependent on how long each particular venue allows.
🚨 You must remember to clock in and out for your break.
Expectations
You are representing hap Solutions on your shift, and feedback is always given by our managers - so please act responsibly and work to your best ability.
Please read this article, as well as your Staff Handbook, Policy Handbook, and code of conduct, to familiarise yourself with our expectations.
Food
Food is often provided, but please read your confirmation email thoroughly as you may need to bring your own food or some money to purchase some.
Leaving
Lastly, always plan how to get home.
If you are booked onto a coach, you must be on time.
If you have made your own travel arrangements please ensure you have thoroughly assessed your transport options so that you will be getting home safe and sound.
🚨 Please note, we do not reimburse for travel arranged pre-event. Shift times are not guaranteed and can be subject to change.
